1998 graduate named acting Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation

Pope John XXIII High School graduate Brian Driscoll was named acting Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) by President Trump on January 20, 2025.

Brian is a Villanova University graduate and received his Masters in Public Policy from Pepperdine University. He was a former New York FBI SWAT Team member, former special agent in charge of the FBI field office in Newark, New Jersey, and most recently served as the commander of the FBI's Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) and Critical Incident Response Group's (CIRG) Tactical Section chief.

1999 Graduate combines love of athletics with law.

A 1999 graduate, John went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Ithaca College in 2003 with a BA. He went on to earn his law degree and MBA at Villanova University and began his legal career at Blank Rome LLP, a national law firm based in Philadelphia. After a move to Maryland, he worked for Cisco for about 3 years and was then was offered the opportunity to join Under Armour’s legal team in Baltimore, where he’s been since 2014.During his time at Under Armour, he has helped in their global expansion. “When I first came on board, we did not have any legal teammates outside of the United States. Everyone was in Baltimore,” said John. “Since then, we have grown, and I now lead the international legal function working with all the regional counsels and local business teams.”

Full time Chorister at The Metropolitan Opera is a PJHS graduate

Jonathan Scott made his Metropolitan Opera debut in 2012 and was a member of the Metropolitan Opera Men's Extra Chorus, with whom he has won a Grammy for Best Opera Recording in the Metropolitan Opera's "Der Ring des Nibelungen" in 2013.

After graduating from Pope John in 1999, Johathan graduated from Westminster Choir College with a degree in music education and has pursued a career as a soloist in both the United States and Europe. 

Jonathan has performed the roles of Figaro in Rossini's Barber of Seville, the title role in Mozart's Don Giovanni, Giorgio Germont in Verdi's La Traviata, Marcello in Puccini's La bohème and in 2017 he made his Italy debut in the title role of Puccini's Gianni Schicchi
